Passing on the challenges or prescribing better management of diversity? : decentralisation, power sharing and conflict dynamics in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia

Abstract: The paper looks at the implications of Indonesia’s ambitious programme for decentralization and greater regional autonomy, using examples from two districts. It looks at the history of identity politics and discusses key legislative changes and impacts of decentralization on conflict dynamics.
