Role of public participation in achieving development agenda of developing countries : the case of communities affected by surface mining of gold in the Asutifi district of the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana : review

Abstract: In the transition in participatory environmental governance by communities affected by surface mining of gold in Ghana, the government should empower communities, while mining companies should desist from intimidation and legal methods to restrict community empowerment.
