We are pleased to announce that the Rural Decentralization and Local Government (RDLG) Database, with its 1600 bibliographic entries – is now part of this website.
The Royal Tropical Institute in the Netherlands has, for many years, supported its development and operation within its KIT Information and Library Services. When the services closed in August 2013 due to Dutch government budget cuts, its director went to a great deal of trouble to export that database and transfer it to our community of practice. Many thanks to Sjon van’t Hof for the years of research that have gone into this database.
How to use the RDLG Database
Each post by the author “kitrdlg” represents one of the 1600 bibliographic entries. They can be searched, or browsed under the categories that start with “Ref” such as Ref-E-Newsletter, Ref-Website, etc. They are tagged by country and topics, and their “post date” on this website correspond to the publication year of the item being referenced – so you can also click on the archive dates at right.
To find the most recent entries on a particular country, simply choose your country from our main menu. You’ll see our country profile information, and near the bottom you’ll see a listing of RDLG postings for that country.
As web links frequently change, please let us know in the comments or email if you come across any “dead links” on these pages, and we’ll fix them as quickly as we can.
Excellent way of telling, and pleasant article to get information about
my presentation topic, which i am going to convey in college.
Glad you enjoyed the post! Thank you for your feedback.
